OH MY GOD BEIGNETS larrybettencourt.files.wordpre… ARE THE BEST THINGS EVER! I just made a whole batch after going to see the Princess and the Frog. If you've seen it, then you know what I mean and DAMN they looked good! So I went and made myself some. They taste like really effing good funnel cakes. I mean really..fried dough and powdered sugar? Can you really go wrong? As for the movie, I personally loved it. I'm a huge HUGE fan of traditional 2-D disney animation and I'm very happy they went back to it for this movie. I always wanted to be a disney animator and it made me so sad when they switched to cg shit. maybe this is a sign they'll revert back to the old style. The only complaint I have for this movie is the music sucked. Normally you have at least one song in a disney classic movie you can connect to, but this movie..eh it was all sort of mellow background jazz style music. I mean I get that it's in New Orleans and all but..I think the music still could've been better. Best thing I can compare it to is watching the Corpse Bride after the Nightmare Before Christmas. The music just isn't up to snuff.

SPEAKING of movies... I'll make this a movie journal BWAHAHAH.

So I uh, saw Avatar, well I've seen it twice now and I have to say it is one of the most beautiful movies I have ever seen. Being a big movie and animation buff I really appreciated how much skill it took to make those creatures have such lifelike features- such emotional nuances, everything from the way they walk to the slightest twitches of the eye and face muscles. It's fantastic, James Cameron I tip my hat to you, oh god of Special Effects. I saw it in 3-D both times, definately awesome. I'm glad they didn't.. take too much advantage of it. I dunno about you but I HATE when 3-D movies sit there and pull stupid cheesy tricks just because they're in 3-d, like reaching out over your head or throwing something at you to get a rise out of the audience. I hate that. Cause then when you take the movie home you're like.. dude..why are they reaching out for like ten seconds. IT'S CHEESY. Hats off to Avatar for using the 3-D to enhance the film, and not make it a cheeseball. ALSO the second time I saw AVATAR it was in IMAX, but IMAX GOERS BEWARE. Not all IMAX theaters are created equal. Something may have Imax technology and sound and stuff advertised, but the screen itself may be only slightly larger than your average upscale movie theater screen. I was pissed about that. I plan to go see it at the REAL Imax theater at the mall of georgia sometime soon before it's gone. I WANT THE EYEBALLS TO BE AS BIG AS ME DAMNIT!

Another good movie I saw recently was Sherlock Holmes. So the action was great, the acting was brilliant and the plot was intriguing. I am personally a huge Sherlock Holmes fan so I was excited about this movie. If you're wondering if you should go see it, THEN GO SEE IT! Oh and for all my yaoi fan watchers out there..trust.. you wont be disappointed, because I swear to god Sherlock and Watson.. are.. so.. effing... GAY TOGETHER IN THIS MOVIE! AHAHAH no really it's great, they make these little comments, and the body language..oh god it's so effing cute and so effing slashable. I totally have this burning desire to draw watson and sherlock yaoi fanart now. Really it's such a great movie. The only qualm I have with it is that Rachel McAdams isn't really all that convincing as a jersey girl from the late 1800s. I'm pretty sure that girls from new jersey at that time had MAD heavy accents. Rachel just didn't drop into the century, sorry girl. Stick to current films! Other than that though FABULOUS film. Her poor performance just made me want to see Holmes with Watson that much more xD.

Okay one last movie rant and I'll give your ears a rest. Alice in Wonderland. What. The. Fuck. Seriously Tim Burton? Seriously? What did you do!? I am a huge alice in wonderland fan and as such, I will see this movie simply so that I may judge it fairly. But it looks.. retarded. They made Johnny Depp look like Bozo the clown. From Tim Burton.. I really would have thought he would make the Mad Hatter more dark and disturbing..*sigh* Well as I say, I'll reserve total judgement til I see it, but until then. What they did to Helena also freaks me out... Her head is huge. My other reason for not being excited about the movie is because from what I understand, Beddor is trying to work on a movie for his book series the Looking Glass Wars which is AWESOME, and this may have pushed him back. Which makes me sad. Anyway we'll see what happens, but for now I'm harumphing about it.

Okay I lied one more. Lovely Bones. If you've read the book as I have, wtf Peter Jackson? Okay so this book is about %5 interesting, and %95 boring psychobabbly examining the lives of this girls family after she died. It bores me to tears. There is no action, most of the book is daily life activities with the girl watching from heaven. So how..how..HOW Peter Jackson are you going to make this an interesting movie? Are you just..gonna make her heaven really pretty and hope it flies? Are you going to add action to the plot where there is none? Ahh I don't know. I will see it because I'm just so damn curious as to how he's gonna make this movie intersting!

Okay that's all I have for now. ALSO: If you love me keep reading for the normal commission information!

I do plan on being there next year with a few tidbits. Also let me know if you'd like to see me at Momocon. I've been meaning to check that convention out.
